Courtney DePeter


Courtney DePeter is an experienced teacher and lacrosse coach. She graduated from Darien High School and went on to play lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame. Go Irish! She earned her Masters Degree in Education from Sacred Heart University and began her teaching career in the upper elementary grades.
Over her seventeen years of teaching in independent schools, Courtney has taught third through sixth grade students. Her recent years in middle school included teaching ancient world history, English, and study skills. Her other middle school responsibilities included being an advisor and grade level lead teacher.
In the classroom, Courtney seeks to create a positive and engaging environment that generates a love and excitement for learning in her students. She is always looking for new ways to bring learning to life through hands-on activities, project-based learning, and creating cross-curricular lessons with colleagues.
Courtney has actively coached high school varsity, middle school, and club lacrosse teams for the last twenty years. She prides herself on helping players believe in themselves, understand the role of hard work and dedication, and the importance of teamwork.
She is also a mom of three boys, Declan, twins Tristan and Tiernan, and is a wife to her husband, Eamon. She loves to dance, dress up for all occasions, and kick box!
